Fab Freebie: A Break From Boring

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries  – see who won below!***

According to random.org, our two giveaway winners are… Amy I. (who’d enjoyed a weekend away and then a few days at home for her pretend spring break) and DebbieRN (who’d go to Sanibel Island).

Don’t you wish there was a no-adult-left-behind official grown-up spring break? Since many of the kids in our county are out of school this week, it made us think about how nice it would be if every adult scored the same week-long break from the office grind. Luckily this week’s prize from The Office Stylist promises to inject some fun (and function) to your desk job. They’ve got loads of tips and services for amping up your workspace, including an online shop that’s stuffed with colorful and stylish organizational items  – from floral file folders to ceramic business card holders and everything in between. And they’re hooking two lucky winners up with $50 cards to spend however they’d like.

Sorting With Style Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $50 gift certificate towards Sorting With Style by The Office Stylist
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “GIMME A BREAK!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … pretend that every grown up got a spring break. What would you do? Would you go somewhere exotic? Would you just relax at home? Or would you throw a huge party for all the other on-break adults?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 20th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States and Canada!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winners. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Sorting With Style

    GIMME ME A BREAK!!

I would use the break to spend time exploring NYC. Even though I live here, the weekends are not long enough. There are a million little shops and restaurants to explore.

GIMME A BREAK! 1. Re-watch favorite tv show (pushing daisies). 2. FINALLY watch the BBC Pride & Prejudice. 3. I GUESS I would finish packing. 4. Start a new knitting project! 5. Invite spring breaking girlfriends over for the cozy, stay at home party.

    GIMME A BREAK!

If I could have a Spring Break as an adult (and money was no object) I’d go to Hawaii. It’s so peaceful and beautiful there. And it’s just familiar enough that it feels OK to be lazy.

    GIMME A BREAK!

I’d go somewhere warm, sunny, fun, but relaxing and try to find myself again. Being a stay at home mom has left me a little…lost.

    GIMME A BREAK!

I would go on vacation somewhere all the partying undergrads aren’t.

Worse than not having a break is having one in grad school – we technically have the week off, but we all have so much work to do that it’s not really a break.

    GIMME A BREAK!

I would probably spend my days crafting! No joke! I’d catch up on scrapbooking and all the other little ideas I’ve got stored up in my head. Since MN is normally nice this time of year I’d enjoy the spring weather right here at home…now this year is a bit different since we’re supposed to get 6 inches of snow tomorrow! But, that’s okay…I’m a Minnesotan, I can handle it ;)

    GIMME A BREAK!

As nice as a tropical/warm getaway sounds… I really think I would instead what a ‘staycation’ at home. Get all those nasty spring cleaning tasks out of the way; wash the windows, weed the garden, etc.
