I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.

We have quite a quirky arm chair in our living room. It’s an antique that belonged to my grandma that we had recovered in a bold burnt orange, deep red, dark purple and gold fabric. It sounds hideous but it’s really quite nice and suits our house, I think.

I have a glass cabinet filled with a lot of cool, colorful and artsy knock knacks, most of them are gifts from my husband. Blythe dolls, art toys, matches from our anniversary dinners, etc. It only takes up a small amount of floor space, but I could stare at it for hours because it conjures up so many memories.

We also have to do a lot of innovative child proofing for his adventerous spirit! I like to pretend that it’s quirky in a good way, the colorful toys do brighten things up!
