Fab Freebie: A Literal Fab Freebie

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

You guys hit the 10,000 entry cap to giveaway within 24 hours, so you must love some Fab as much as I do (or perhaps you just like $500). Either way, we’ve crowned a random winner and it is… Whitney (who says “Most of my apartment is muted gray, yellow, and blue, but my kitchen has bright red baking dishes on display.”) Congrats Whitney!

I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.

Fab Dot Com Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Fab
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FAB ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …what’s something weird, quirky, or colorful in your home that you love? Is it a bold art print in your entryway? An armchair with a happy pattern in your living room? Or several dozen ceramic animals placed throughout your house… not that we’d know anything about that.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 30th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States, Canada, and much of Europe (click here for a specific list of countries)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Fab.

FAB ME!!!! I love this giveaway! I made a bulletin board by covering a corkboard with a cotton Chinese print complete with pagodas, dragons, flowers, etc. I love it so much that I removed all of the stuff that I pinned to it and hung it in our living room as art.

    FAB ME!

We just framed a neon yellow poster from a Black Crowes show that we saw on our honeymoon. It’s definitely out of the ordinary for our semi-modern/semi-traditional vibe (think rock poster in a Scandinavian farmhouse). But it has great memories and it brings a much needed splash of color to a house full of neutrals!

FAB ME! Please! When I was in Paris two years ago I took a ton of pictures of their bright doors. I then framed them in the white Ikea frames you guys have with custom mats to adjust for all of the door sizes. I LOVE the bold color calmed by the white frames, and of course they are a fantastic reminder of that special trip! Hope you guys are well!

I have a huge tryptic of a gorgeous photograph of an oak tree in a field. It’s mainly yellow and sunny and it looks amazing against my blue walls. I got it in Union Square, nyc, during one of my weekend trips to the farmer’s market, so it will always remind me of my time in NY no matter where I end up moving!

Also, I LOVE fab.com. I’ve bought so many presents off of there for my husband!

We have a wonderful bright orange/red chair in our living room that I picked up at a large re-sell it store in St. Louis for $30. We have nothing too colorful in our house, so it really pops against the dark wood floors and the mocha couch. I carried it out to my car without first thinking where it could possibly fit. Too large for my trunk. I turned it upside down and was able to fit it on the passenger seat. I think it was a great find!

I love my 20×200 print of Luke Skywalker in the little side nook of my hall coat closet. It hangs above my ebay-acquired coat hooks. I installed red grasscloth wallpaper and I framed the print in one of Target’s floating frames so the wallpaper peeps through. He looks like he’s gearing up which is appropriate because the hooks are where the kids store their school gear.
