I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.

Our most fun piece is some artwork we purchased from a local artist in the French Quarter of New Orleans. It has great bright colors and says “Who wants to go to a crawfish boil”. My husband and I just love it so much!

I have a small blue and white bud vase that I love and my husband hates! After winning the argument to keep it during a recent move, I accidently knocked it off a moving box and smashed it!! My hubby laughed his a$$ off!
My revenge came a few months later when I found a nearly identical vase at the second hand store. It now lives above our mantle in our room, five feet away from my husbands side of the bed!

The quirkiest thing we have in our home is our secret hall nerd wall o’ frames. There’s a little hall that only leads to our bedroom, so no one sees it but us, so we made a frame wall full of random stuff we love. Like a zombie crosswalk sign and art deco Star Wars posters.
