Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kendra Scott.

Not celebrating Valentine’s Day, we both have to go to after-work events that night. People don’t really celebrate here in Spain…but on that note, this giveaway ships worldwide! Yeah!

I actually already celebrated V-day last weekend with dinner and tickets to a “love” themed symphony. It was cheesy but cute!

Jewel me! DS will make a valentines box, and exchange cards with his classmates. I’ll make some kind of red/pink themed breakfast for them, and maybe sometime in the next week or two DH and I will get a date night! :)

For Valentine’s Day, I’ve instructed boyfriend that he is to surprise me–doesn’t matter if it’s something expensive or dirt cheap, breakfast in bed or a fancy dinner out. He’s just supposed to surprise me. =)

Unfortunately my boyfriend and I won’t be together on Valentine’s Day. I’ll actually be spending the night with my parents, since I have a flight out of my hometown early the next morning. I might try to bake something tasty for him before I leave, though!

We’ll probably spend a low-key Valentine’s this year as I’m studying for my last major exam only a week later. I’m thinking home-cooked meal with a big dessert and a movie.

PS: I really love the fact that this is a worldwide freebie! Fantastic!

We’re laying low this valentine’s day in an effort to save a little extra dough for our wedding in September. We’ll still celebrate with a fancier-than-usual homemade dinner though.

We are going out for dinner tomorrow and then staying in on valentines day with our baby and a nice classic dinner – steak, mashed potatoes and a peanut butter pie – am wondering if I can convince the hubby to cook the steak since he is so much better at that than I am.

My mother always did a tablescape when I was younger for different Holidays and would always hide treats (easter was always grass and eggs and things, christmas may be little wrapped gifts as centerpieces that i could open), so i’m doing a dinner for my husband where there a little surprises hidden throughout the meal…
