To be honest with you, I’m not particularly crazy about Valentine’s day. I never really celebrated with anyone including my husband. We started a new tradition a few years ago when the new Friday the 13th movie came out (my husband loves slasher films and I hate them) in February on an actual Friday the 13th. So every year, we get Chinese food and I suffer through any type of horror movie he picks out and then I’m not obligated to go to any movies throughout the rest of the year that I deem too scary!
So long story short, Chinese food and scary movie for our Valentine’s Day.

My husband and I are buying each other the Dyson car cleaning kit and cleaning each others car. I bought my son some treats that I sneak into his lunch box. He doesn’t eat candy so it is hard to show him my love on this day. I bought valentine gold fish and lego valentine toy.

I am so excited to tell you that I’m giving some groovy old school valentines to my coworkers then hitting the road and traveling 1,000 miles to spend my first Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend. I only get to see him once a month because of the distance and it really takes a toll on us that we don’t get the typical couple experience. I didn’t think I’d be able to see him this month, but we were able to make it work. I can’t wait to spend Valentine’s Day like so many other couples and celebrate it with the only person I love.
