So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. My books are scattered around every room because we’ve got about 10 projects going on right now. I’m usually sitting on the floor flipping through the pages of one while my husband toils away nailing something or painting something (i’m pregnant so he gets to do the heavy lifting at the moment!)

My favorite scrapbooks live on one of the side tables in my living room. The rest of my books live in a bookcase in my bedroom, sharing the shelves with treasured photos and my grandmother’s teacups!

I seriously have them in the living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen… I never know when I’ll get a few moment to read something (bath time, waiting for something to boil on the stove, while trying to tune out some show my family is watching). I think I’m reading 3 books at once at the moment.

BOOK ME!!! I love books and seem to have collections everywhere! Some of my faves are on bookshelves in my living room and on my mantle. I also have current loves on my bedside table… Love Does by Bob Goff and The Moms on Call No-Nonsense Toddler Book (great resource to read, re-read and read again when you have a 2yr old)! Would LOVE to add these beauties to my collections!

My house is currently filled with my husband’s books! He’s a history fan as well as a comic book fan… so all the book space in our house is pretty much devoted to him. I am usually a fan of library books (hooray for living 1 block from the public library), but I did claim a little corner of the office book shelf for my art books. And the basement is full of kids books for our little guy once he gets bigger/my classroom once I go back to teaching! I’d love to knock some of his obscure history books of the shelf for this great collection… or better yet, keep them right out on the coffee table!!! Either way, can’t wait to pick up a copy of your book soon! Congrats on your HUGE accomplishment!!!

BOOK ME!! Our tiny apartment has a built in bookshelf in a little “reading nook” (as I like to call it). We go through the books quite regularly to donate/sell ones that we don’t want to keep (and make room for new ones). The ones that matter most always earn their spot back on the shelf! My hubby and I love to read so pairing down our book collection is no easy task. But all 7 of those books would earn a spot on our shelf!
