So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. BOOK ME! I keep the (used) books I did my senior college projects on right next to my 1940s typewriter. A little Flannery O’Connor or Shakespeare anyone? No, I didn’t graduate in 1940 or anything, but I love imagining the history behind the typewriter or the books. Sometimes I want to unwind the ribbon in the typewriter to see what was typed, but I can’t bring myself to defile it like that!

BOOK ME! The grand plan for book display in our house is that we are installing “built-ins” (Ikea Billy Bookshelves) in our living room and in our master bedroom. These books would be the perfect addition!

BOOK ME! I attempt to keep the few special books we brought back with us after our years overseas in a very cute little cabinet at the top of entryway stairs. It’s a perfect landing pad on top & the glass doors give me a peak of some of my favorite books when I don’t have time to actually read them. Unfortunately, my toddlers are hellbent on adding their own “touches” to the display but I’m hoping that’s just their design sense kicking in early.
