Fab Freebie: Christmas Lights

This week’s early Christmas present is going to… Nancy (who says she “could certainly use some new lighting” and her favorite holiday glow “has to be my fireplace.”) Congrats Nancy!

As much as we love holiday lights, indoor lighting is something that you stare at every day of the year. So if you don’t love your lighting situation, this is one way to “dude, get on that” without spending any cash. See, recently we were voted one of Lamps Plus’ top home blogs of 2012 (how flattering!) and it came with a $500 shopping spree prize… but you know we don’t take freebies or swag, so the folks at Lamps Plus kindly agreed that we could pass that $500 credit to one of you! We’ve been fans of theirs for a while now since they seem to have about a million options (their chandeliers even popped up in our book a few times) so this week’s winner should have no trouble finding something to spend their light-loot on if they win.

    LAMP ME!
    My favorite is the glow from four wicks in my big ole’ soy candle…it’s a sweet emerald green glass one. And it smells like I got my nose stuck in the Christmas tree.

    Lamp me! I would love a great floor lamp for our bedroom and some table lamps for our living areas.

    Lately I have been loving the Christmas lights on our small tree… wish it could stay up all year!

    LAMP ME! We are all about the DIY light orbs/balls made from chicken wire and xmas lights that you hang from the trees outside. One street in our neighborhood has hundreds of them hanging from all their trees and it’s magical driving down that street. We are the first one’s on our little street to add them and hoping that our neighbors join us next year.

    LAMP ME!

    I love white Christmas lights. However, last year I won a string of lights that are set of 3 pink flamingos with Santa hats. We put them outside, and I smile every time I come home :-)

    Lamp Me! My husband has several strands of multicolored lights that he always strings up around the living room of our apartment in the winter (we leave them up long after Christmas because they’re so happy when it’s dreary out). They’re very simple, but I love them.

    I love all the lights during the holidays. Best part is listening to holiday music while driving around looking at everyone’s decorations and watching my sons face as he looks at the “pitty lights”.

    LAMP ME! I love our prelit Christmas tree’s white lights! Of course, I’m also a sucker for our growing collection of crazy yard lights. We promised our kids that we’d add one new Christmas yard decoration every year, thus I also spend part of December baking “I’m sorry for bringing on the tacky” cookies for our neighbors!
