Fab Freebie: Christmas Lights

This week’s early Christmas present is going to… Nancy (who says she “could certainly use some new lighting” and her favorite holiday glow “has to be my fireplace.”) Congrats Nancy!

As much as we love holiday lights, indoor lighting is something that you stare at every day of the year. So if you don’t love your lighting situation, this is one way to “dude, get on that” without spending any cash. See, recently we were voted one of Lamps Plus’ top home blogs of 2012 (how flattering!) and it came with a $500 shopping spree prize… but you know we don’t take freebies or swag, so the folks at Lamps Plus kindly agreed that we could pass that $500 credit to one of you! We’ve been fans of theirs for a while now since they seem to have about a million options (their chandeliers even popped up in our book a few times) so this week’s winner should have no trouble finding something to spend their light-loot on if they win.

    I love to look at decorated houses, esp with white lights. Although, we have white LEDs decorating our house.

    I love all three – I love the over the top glow for our tree. I love a good fire in fire place, and I love white lights outside!

    LAMP ME! I am usually a white lights and candles kind of girl, but those huge bulbed, vintage-y Charlie Brown lights have me swooning these days. Might have to get some for the tree in our front yard!

    I would love to win this Lamps Plus spree– I have some horribly outdated fixtures in my house that are in need of replacement!

    I love how my the main street of my quaint town looks during the holidays, with lights on the buildings and in the store front windows…it’s magical.

    I love my vintage inspired twinkle lights both inside my kitchen and walk way. But great lighting is my thing, totally completes a room.

    I love the colored lights on my real Christmas tree…but nothing beats the real christmas tree on my back porch with the old time large bulbs on it…

    LAMP ME!!!! My favorite holiday lights are those on our Christmas tree. In white, they create a beautiful, sharp glow accenting all the special ornaments we collect year after year. I dig ’em. ;-)
