Fab Freebie: Christmas Lights

This week’s early Christmas present is going to… Nancy (who says she “could certainly use some new lighting” and her favorite holiday glow “has to be my fireplace.”) Congrats Nancy!

As much as we love holiday lights, indoor lighting is something that you stare at every day of the year. So if you don’t love your lighting situation, this is one way to “dude, get on that” without spending any cash. See, recently we were voted one of Lamps Plus’ top home blogs of 2012 (how flattering!) and it came with a $500 shopping spree prize… but you know we don’t take freebies or swag, so the folks at Lamps Plus kindly agreed that we could pass that $500 credit to one of you! We’ve been fans of theirs for a while now since they seem to have about a million options (their chandeliers even popped up in our book a few times) so this week’s winner should have no trouble finding something to spend their light-loot on if they win.

    Lamp me! We just bought a new house & it could use some new lights! I love the white icicle lights. It looks so beautiful in all the snow & ice we have up here.

    LAMP ME!!!

    My favorite glow comes from the Christmas tree! I love turning out all the lights and finishing the night off with nothing but the light of my tree…oh and a glass of wine!

    My favorite lights are artificial candles. My grandmother used to put them in all the windows of her farmhouse! Great memories.

    LAMP ME! When I was very young, my folks used to put bubble lights on the tree, so there’s a special place in my heart for those strangely festive little fire hazards.

    Inside I love white lights on the tree, and flickering candles around the room. Outside, I like the big round multi-colored bulbs. :)

    LAMP ME! We have never had a fireplace, so we bought a DVD of a fire that makes crackling sounds. We think it’s hilarious and even stop in front of it and pretend to get warm!

    Lamp Me!

    I’ve been trying to upgrade the lighting in my house and this would be the perfect way to finish it off!!!
    I love it when the white lights on my tree are the only source of light in the room :o)

    LAMP ME! I love the bubble lights on our Christmas tree. I grew up with bubble lights, and was so excited when I saw them available a few years ago– they were all I wanted for Christmas!

    LAMP ME! I love the glow of our Christmas tree in a dark room. It reminds me of sitting next to the white lights in the middle of the night with our daughter when she was a newborn. Sweet times :)

    I love our old skool c-9 big bulbs on our house. The neighbors make a bit of fun but we love ’em (the lights and the neighbors!)
