Fab Freebie: Colorful Goods

Since we maxed out on entries less than 24 hours into the giveaway, we thought we’d go ahead and crown our winner. Random.org has selected… Jen W. (who’s long had a love affair with the color grey, but has lately been drawn to cheery yellows lately). Congrats!

It’s no secret that we loves us some HomeGoods. So how psyched are we to give one of you a $500 gift card this week? Answer: very psyched. And if you’re stumped on how to spend that money, HomeGoods has a new series of “Design Happy” videos to help inspire and guide you. Like the one below that offers up some simple tricks for adding color to a room through pillows & accessories (which just happen to be two of our favorite things to hunt for at HomeGoods):

    COLOR ME!! We moved into our new house in July and Teal/Turquoise are making me excited in our downstairs living room right now….along with gray and pops of green upstairs in our master bedroom and bathroom. LOVE IT!

    Color Me! My daughter will be two in December, I felt pressured for the past two years to finish her room, make it “nursery perfect”…but I resisted, reminding myself that I wanted the room to take shape around her personality. I wanted to be inspired by her and add color and items to her room that would reflect her spirit. Last weekend it felt like the right time to paint the walls, Honey Beige is the color we chose. Madeline noticed the change in her room immediately (my husband painted while we were away on a trip), her words, “Mama, walls…nice”. NOW her room has begun to take shape, now it is becoming HER room. I’m in love with Honey Beige!

    COLOR ME!

    I’ve always liked green but have been recently inspired by the green formica countertops in the kitchen of our recently purchased first house. That’s right, formica countertops can be a source of insipiration. We’re working with what we’ve got for now!

    These days, I’m digging neutrals with a pop of color (think black, white and gray with a pop of bright yellow!). My living room needs a pop of color though!!!

    Color me GRELLOW!! I was inspired by your kitchen and laundry room and have painted two rooms a similar color (Lemongrass from Behr). I am in love with it now and a home goods gift certificate will help tie everything together :)

    COLOR Me…say all the walls of our house (old owners had all walls and trim painted yellow) so we painted our dining room Jester! I am so loving this color, it;s a dark purplish but as we have tons of natural light in this room it’s perfect.

    I’m really loving pops of orange, which probably bugs my husband, because along with all the pops of blue I already have, the house is looking a little too Auburn University football for his liking.

    COLOR ME! Gold… a pattern running through some recently made curtains and a super old lamp dug out of storage with a gold wooden base. I’m usually a bright colors kind of woman, so this turn toward metallics is new for me. :)
