It’s no secret that we loves us some HomeGoods. So how psyched are we to give one of you a $500 gift card this week? Answer: very psyched. And if you’re stumped on how to spend that money, HomeGoods has a new series of “Design Happy” videos to help inspire and guide you. Like the one below that offers up some simple tricks for adding color to a room through pillows & accessories (which just happen to be two of our favorite things to hunt for at HomeGoods):

Color me rust! I just finished painting our front door a gorgeous rusty red color that looks FABULOUS with our yellow house. I was worried it would be too McDonald’s-ish but the orange undertones in the red prevented that. Next up I want to get the plants out there in matching white planters like you guys have because I think it will pull together the trim perfectly!

It may sound weird, but white is making me happy these days. I painted our master bedroom a turquoise that I love, but with the currently limited lighting it can be a bit dark/enclosing. So I’m having fun adding lots of white to lighten it up!
