It’s no secret that we loves us some HomeGoods. So how psyched are we to give one of you a $500 gift card this week? Answer: very psyched. Like the one below that offers up some simple tricks for adding color to a room through pillows & accessories (which just happen to be two of our favorite things to hunt for at HomeGoods):

Blue has been very prevalent in my taste recently. I’ve decided to paint my bedroom BM’s November Skies, which is a lovely grayish-blue, and last night I was pondering painting my kitchen trim cobalt blue (I was watching a Sarah Richardson rerun and spied cobalt blue penny rounds, which are too much for a backsplash, but the color would be perfect for trim).
And frankly, I’ve had a bad day and could really use some pick-me-up home shopping that’s not in the budget!

Sorry, flashback to my college days.
Anyway, we just painted our family room paprika and put in a gold herringbone couch and chair and a half. I love it. So, I followed up by painting the adjoining office gold and the bathroom off the bar the same paprika. The bar is a midnight blue color and dark wood…I was afraid it wouldn’t look great together, but I love it…and chocolate brown goes with every room. So, now to just throw in bits of that blue in the other rooms and we are good to go. :)
