Whether it’s googling around for a tutorial, answering comments on the go, or making a list of project materials on our phone, gadgets have definitely wormed their way into our DIY routine. So we thought one of you might enjoy being hooked up with over $700 worth of Microsoft’s newest Windows devices – a Surface RT and a Windows Phone. The Surface is like a tablet, laptop, and e-reader in one – and has fun features like a kickstand for watching movies and a spill-proof keyboard for, well, when your toddler watches movies. And the Windows Phone is equally kid-friendly since it allows you create a dedicated “Kid’s Corner” so they can play without accidentally deleting all of your emails.

Windows Me!!! I can’t go anywhere without my phone because I LOVE having a camera at my fingertips, there are moments in my life with two crazy busy kids that I want to remember forever and as good as my memory is everyday business makes me think without a picture that moment is lost forever.

The one thing i like most about my smart phone is that i can check my email with just one touch of a button. Whenever i stop at the store and forgot my coupons, all i do is get out my phone and check my emails or retail me not app is a great coupon app as well. I also like that you can download educational games for the kiddos whenever your at an appointment and you just need them to sit for 10min or so without pulling each others hair out or wrestling on the floor and screaming like it’s gladiator time!

Being able to type the name of a store or restaurant into the map on my phone and having all the locations pop up, and then give me directions from my current location, has added years to my life. Remember when you would have to pull over at a gas station and write out directions the attendant gave you, ha ha!

The most important thing that my computer and iPhone do for me is keep me in touch with family. Facebook is the easiest way to pop in and see how everyone is doing, and skype makes it easy to keep in contact with those outside the country, and of course e-mails or phone calls for the more important stuff!

On a recent hospital trip for our almost 2 year old our phone saved the day by entertaining him with Netflix, it was the only thing that kept him in the hospital bed all strapped up to IV’s etc. and not a crying mess.
