Fab Freebie: Cut It Out

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

It’s no mystery that we think silhouettes are a great and graphic spin on the traditional framed family photo. So of course this week’s prize is right up our alley: a customized 8×10 silhouette portrait from Nella Designs.

Nella Single

Nella Designs has a bunch of other fun items in her Etsy shop (like this 2011 desktop calendar that our winners will also be scoring), but it’s these prints made from photos of your family, pet, or even you & your significant other (in your choice of color) that really caught our eye. You can see more of the prints that she’s personalized right here on her blog too.

Nella Pair

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A customized 8×10 silhouette portrait and a 2011 desktop calendar from Nella Designs.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CUT ME OUT!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … speaking of cutting things out, what’s one thing you’re trying to cut out of your life (or at least cut down on) in 2011? Trying to ditch a bad habit? Looking limit your time spent in front of the tube? Or maybe you’re cutting out caffeine?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 12th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States and Canada!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen our two winners and they are… Nessa (who wants to cut down on being so serious all the time) and Angela (who wants to cut out sleepless night with her 4 month old). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Nella Designs.

Cut me out? Well, unlike alot of other commenters, we’ve sufficiently cut the clutter. That is what two moves in a year will do for you! I absolutely love your blog as my husband, kids, and I are embarking on our own reno, a well-maintained 1940s home in need of updating. It is what we’ve always wanted to do. So what will I cut out? Probably a prejudice against blogs. Yours will provide great inspiration in lieu of the home decorating magazines I don’t get anymore. If only computers were more comfortable to curl up on the sofa with!

I am working on cutting more clutter out of my life — it started a bit in 2010 and will continue in 2011!! It’s so “free-ing”…is that a word? LOL That’s how I feel :)

    CUT ME OUT!

My boyfriend and I are trying to cut out eating out. We’re fanatics about food but our wallets have been suffering from spending wayyy too much at restaurants… and we’ve been gaining weight as a result as well. 2011’s going to be the year we get back into cooking at home, and so far we’ve been doing a good job of it.

    Cut me out!

We are cutting out obsessing over house stuff this year- after moving in to our first home last November, EVERYTHING has revolved around fixing up, cleaning, organizing, etc. I figure though, that the projects aren’t going ANYWHERE and it certainly wouldn’t hurt to have a little less stress and a little more playtime in our lives (even if it means the doorframes take a little longer to get repainted than I would have originally liked!)

Cut me out! I’d love to cut down on wasted time and get around to more home projects. Including ripping up the kitchen floor and painting the hardwood underneath with a black and white tile pattern.

Thanks so much John and Sherry! I am so excited. I have a picture of my daughter that I am so excited to have made into a silhouette. Her 1st birthday is in a few weeks and I feel like I need to freeze her in time… at least this way I will have her on paper.

I’m oozing right now! I can’t believe I actually won. This is a quite a treat for a new, sleep-deprived mama! I will definitely be using a picture of our little man Jonah for the silhouette. I can’t wait! Thanks again.
