Fab Freebie: Easily Turned On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

So you saw me install this puppy earlier today, and just as we promised we’re back to give you a shot at winning one of your own. The Delta Pilar kitchen faucet with Touch 2O Technology is pretty much any DIY-lover or enthusiastic chef’s best friend because, just as the commercial below demonstrates, you can wash paint, dirt, eggs, chicken goo or any other home-improvement or cooking related mess off of your hands without ever getting it on your purdy fixture.

We’ve actually had ours installed for a week now and I’ve found it extremely helpful even when doing simple tasks like the dishes (yes, I’m usually in charge of the dishes, but Sherry vacuums so it’s pretty fair around here). Rather than having to reach over to turn the handle on and off, I can interrupt the water by just quickly tapping the spout anywhere, and the technology’s even smart enough to know when you’re gripping the faucet to move it (as we do from basin to basin in our double sink) so it doesn’t interpret that maneuver as an on/off trigger. Consider us impressed.

For more info about how this baby works and how we got it installed, check out this morning’s post (and don’t forget to read through the comments where we address pretty much every detail that you can think of). And if you’re dying to get your grubby mitts on one of them, here’s how:

  • PRIZE: A Delta Pilar Pull-Down faucet with Touch 2O Technology in the finish of your choice (chrome or stainless)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TOUCH ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …spill the beans about some of your personal turn offs when it comes to the opposite sex. Poor hygiene? Too full of themselves? Obsessed with his or her chihuahua? Spill it –  but let’s try to keep things PG-ish if we can.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in North America
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

My biggest turn off is definitely personal hygiene, especially body odor!

touch me!!!! My biggest pet peave is when my hubby creates work for me around the house by leaving dishes in the sink, or throwing his clothes on the floor rather than the basket (which is right next to where he puts them on the floor). ARGH :-)

    Touch me! Please!?!

By far my biggest turn is when I can see a woman’s ears through her hair. It’s ok to tuck your hair behind your ear; that’s cute. But when you hair is over your ear and your ear pokes out, it just irks me. I think it has to do with a primordial desire to have a mate with thick, healthy hair since having nice hair is a sign of good nutrition and hygiene. Wait, what, too dorky?

    Oooh TOUCH ME!

Before I was married, I was dating a different guy who would always carry way too much money with him. So everytime he would go to pay he’d open his wallet with a stack of 20’s 50’s or 100’s in there. Although after the first time, I never cared to look to see what they were, so they might have been ones for all I know. Not impressed.

Biggest turn off in the opposite sex? Lack of confidence. You don’t need to think you’re the best thing since sliced bread, but if you don’t believe in yourself and at least bit you’re a teeny bit awesome, then who will?

I have been dreaming of this faucet for about a year… I have stood in our local lowes store just staring, so I’m keeping my toes and fingers crossed! As for what turns me off, it would have to be a “girly” man. One that puts way too much time into his looks, I want to be with a man not a woman! Thanks again for the give-away!

    Kisses,

    Rachael

Big turn off: we keep a little nail clippers in the kitchen, hanging from a desk organizer. If my husband uses them, he NEVER puts them back where they go. I spend countless minutes rooting through the organizer, or even the junk drawer below, to find wherever he stashed them. Drives me batty.

Biggest turnoff…anything to do with feet. It’s silly, I know, since we all have them, but it’s true! I dated a guy once who felt the need to touch/pick up things with his toes…HELLO, they are not the same as your hands, buddy! He once fiddled with the strap of my purse with his toes. Scarred for life, that’s all I can say. Thankfully hubby is good about keeping his feet where they belong. On the floor.

My turn off used to be people who used the word literally when they were describing something that hadn’t actually happened. Now it is people who use the word literally when it is unnecessary. “He literally walked out the door.” As opposed to figuratively walking out a door?
