Fab Freebie: Everything But The Kitchen Sink

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

In trying to title this week’s giveaway from an online shop with over 2 million products covering every category from tools and lighting to sporting equipment and furniture, this is the best I could do. Then I realized that they did in fact sell kitchen sinks. Oh well, that’s what I get for trying to sum up ATG Stores in just a few words.

ATG Stores

The shops above are just a sampling of the over 400 online stores that ATG operates (here’s the perk: they sell items below retail and ship most of ’em for free). And one of you is going to score $150 towards ANYTHING from the ATG catalog of items. You’ll probably need to set aside a couple of hours to make it even halfway through all that they offer, but to give you an idea, Sherry and I compiled a quick mood board of items that you could snag (or mostly snag) with the $150 prize.

ATG Mood Board

  1. The Mary Kate & Ashley Lamp ($127) is something we’ve been digging for a while.
  2. If you’re in a building mood, grab a tool like a heavy duty circular saw ($150).
  3. Brighten up your wall with this punchy Metro Circus Circus print ($86) which comes in a variety of colors.
  4. Dress up your porch with an industrial looking galvanized tin planter box ($48).
  5. Bring some West Elm-esque style to the foot of your bed with this sleek slated bench ($140).
  6. You know we love a sculptural round mirror like this bronze version ($169).
  7. Give your kitchen a mini-facelift with new pulls or knobs, like these modern ones (from $11).
  8. Clean up outside with a WORX Grass Trimmer & Edger ($81) like we did after ATG Stores sent us one to take for a spin (worked great!).
  9. Chill out on a plush floor pillow (from $127) which comes in a bunch of fabric options.
  10. Or add some charm to your floor with this Momeni Whimsy Area Rug (from $129).

Now that you have an idea of what ATG has to offer – let’s look at how you can enter to win the benjamin and a half credit:

  • PRIZE: $150 towards anything found on ATG Stores
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “SINK ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … be honest, what does your kitchen sink look like right now? Is it full of dishes waiting to be done? Does it happen to be empty and spotless? Or does it show signs of clean-up from a recent DIY project like ours?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, August 4th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States and Canada
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    Sink Me!

My kitchen sink is covered in dirt and dust as well as random paint splatter from previous owner and is sitting on my back porch waiting on the contractor to finish building the kitchen.

Its full of dishes from last night’s dinner. I do pretty well during the day but after a long day of working out, running our small business and homeschooling my children, I’m just too pooped to do the dishes after dinner each night. So, I do them in the morning before breakfast. Which is as soon as I get up off this computer!!

I have a stainless steel two-bowl. The left side is empty. The right side contains the inset stainless rack where I put the recycling items to dry after I wash them. Right now it holds a glass cooler bottle and an orange juice container.

    Sink MEEEEEEEEEEE!

My sink has the telltale signs that I made and packed the hub’s lunch this morning. A dirty spoon used to dish out roast, carrots and potatos; cutting board and knives for cutting an apple and some cheese into slices; a runaway blueberry that would have gone into a container with some Greek yogurt if my aim hadn’t been off. All of that plus a random sponge!

My sink is spotless as usual. I am a super OC (obsessive-compulsive) housekeeper. I don’t leave the kitchen messy, especially at night, ’cause I don’t like waking up to a dirty and disorganized kitchen.

It’s fairly clean, minus the two wine glasses I didn’t get around to washing before bedtime last night. But dirty or not, our sink is a dis-functional marriage between a tiny, old sink basin, and a new modern-esque Ikea faucet, Our landlord installed the faucet 3 inches from the edge of the sink, and all the way to the right, rather than in the middle which would have been way more practical. Whenever we try to do anything in the sink, water gets EVERYWHERE. All over the countertops, the floor, it’s a big ole mess! Thank god for the dishwasher!

My sink is a builder-grade drop-in stainless steel, only 6 years old, but where the faucets and such are attached, there’s stuff that looks ugly, isn’t smooth, but doesn’t come off when cleaned. I have no idea what the issue really is — but what I WISH we had is a sink BELOW the counter! I love a white porcelain (is that what they are?) sink but I bet it would look weird with our darker counters and cabinets and stainless/black appliances — a sunken stainless sink would make me oh-so-happeeeeeeeee!
