Having now been a father for one whole month (Happy 1- month birthday, Clara!) I’m totally psyched for this Sunday: my first Father’s Day. Another reason I’m psyched? Because our friends at Lowe’s have offered to help us celebrate Daddy Day with a handy gift guide mood board along with a totally testosterone-ready prize. So if you’re still scratching you head about what to get ol’ pops, here are a few ideas to get you started. Happy Father’s Day to my awesome hubby and my awesome dad! My hubby is an amazing father and husband! My son loves to wrestle him and my daughter loves to cuddle him. He’s very romantic and very handy around the house. Plus, he pulls daddy duty so I can get a nap on occasion.
My dad is equally amazing. I’m not his biological daughter, but he always reminded me that it made no difference to him, I was still HIS daughter. He’s a pretty amazing grandpa too. I love the to two MEN in my life (well, three counting my sweetie-pie son!)

Paul: My dad passed away last year after being hit by car. I miss him tremendously but he was a great father and grandfather to my daughter. I just like to remember all the good times I had with him while he was here.

Now that I live far away from my family (I live in SC and they are all in MA) I miss the little things. My dad and I used to take a lot of walks together and he always calls me by my childhood nickname, Eepie (my brother couldn’t say my name–not sure where that came from but it stuck!). My Grampa always greets all of his grandkids by yelling, “GOTCHA FIRST” and tagging them. Although we will get him first our fair share of times :) My Pa always has a big hug and smile for everyone.
