Having now been a father for one whole month (Happy 1- month birthday, Clara!) I’m totally psyched for this Sunday: my first Father’s Day. Another reason I’m psyched? Because our friends at Lowe’s have offered to help us celebrate Daddy Day with a handy gift guide mood board along with a totally testosterone-ready prize. So if you’re still scratching you head about what to get ol’ pops, here are a few ideas to get you started. He picks up my daughter from school everyday and takes her whatever she needs to go, won’t accept anything for gas or his time, answers all technical questions, fixes all broken appliances and most car issues, reviews the mapquest for errors before all road trips, taught me about BBQ and fine mustards and gossips about politics and entertainment. He married my aunt when I was 1 years old and has been the standard by which all uncles should be measured! Love my uncle!

and thank you for inspiring so many of us by earning your BA last month at age 78! (while in college my dad was drafted into Korea, and he didn’t earn his degree. A while back he was diagnosed with cancer and he decided he couldn’t die without his college degree. Being in school helped him focus on art instead of all the chemo and radiation. He was too sick to walk in the ceremony, but this was a huge accomplishment!)
