I’m such a water fiend. As a kid, whenever I (and my brother and mum) used to travel with my Dad when he was on a business trip, I’d always rate the hotel by the swimming pool. More often than not, we were always the ones there too. So, when my husband and I went on our much delayed (2 years) honeymoon to Kauai last summer, we stayed at a place that had the best swimming pools that I could find. I made us swim them all – in sequential order, from one end to the other one morning.
If I’m not swimming, you better believe I’m out on the water kayaking. =)

I grew up in Nova Scotia where we were surrounded with water. Not quite as tough as a native should be I can’t bring myself to dip in the cold northern waters. However if the water’s warm I love to take a dip!

Last summer I took the plunge and bought a small cape cod home with a separate building in the back that houses an indoor pool. I work every day of the week to pay the bills, but I love my students, I love what I do, and I love my new home.
