Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

Fix me! I have the most maddening towel bar. I’m not sure if the wall is the problem or if it’s the towel bar, but one of the ends will.not.stay on my wall. There’s nothing like waking in the middle of the night to a metal towel bar crashing to the ground.

Not only do our fixtures need an upgrade, but we have carpet running all the way through the bathroom! Whoever thought that carpet flowing from the bedroom through the bath to the walk-in closet was a good idea should be shot. I’m constantly worried about rot around the shower.

Our fixtures, countertop and cabinets really need an upgrade. They are your standard, builder-boring selections. Very “we spent our money on hardwood floors and a fireplace so we couldn’t afford a nice bathroom.”

FIX ME… oh fix me, please!!!!! My sweet parents have lived in their house for over 20 years and the bathrooms have stayed 100% the same (minus new curtains which are easy fixes). There are only two bathrooms, they don’t have a master suite, so there sure is a lot of wear and tear in there (do I automatically win for that great rhyme?). They could definitely use a face lift, the shower head could use an introduction to this century and the vanity has certainly seen better days! Thanks you guys!

Although our fixtures need to be updated, the walls are in a worse state. We already removed the wallpapered border that was decorated with lighthouses when we moved in. But all of the drywall joints in 10yr our house need to be redone since most of it is peeling, don’t think there was any care taken when it was done originally.

Fix me! We really need new floors in our bathrooms. They have ancient vinyl, and in the master we ripped out the carpet in the sink area so we currently have only the concrete slab with some porch paint slapped over it. The Visa card would cover tile and supplies!

What’s not to fix!? The crappy beigy/yellow tub with surround that doesn’t line up and is riddled with scratches and cracks, the vinyl flooring that will never be clean again, the fiberboard vanity with the awful 70s peeling Formica counter top, the porcelain sink with scratches and chips galore, any of the faucets or shower heads (just pick one they leak, are very dated and permanently dirty)… We’re in desperate need of a bathroom makeover (which will happen once we’re done with the kitchen). At least the toilet is in good condition, right?!

And the sink faucet has seen much, much better days! It’s been the eyesore of the house since we moved in. One day, SOON, it will be redone.
