Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

FIX ME! It’s a tie between our cheap builder-grade vinyl tub surround and the terrible tile job the previous owner did on the floor. Uneven grout lines and several cracked tiles. :(

We recently got rid of our pink tiles and replaced it all with white subway tiles. A new faucet/shower head has been on our todo list for months but we haven’t found the extra cash for it. This would be perfect!!!!!

We are updating our new-to-us 1955 house one room at a time, which is fine with me, but one space I can’t WAIT to get my hands on is our master bathroom! Our floor to ceiling pepto bismol pink wall tiles make me dizzy every time I walk through the door. Help, Moen!

Ugh…our builders grade brass shower door surround that does nothing but collect mold and mildew, no matter how much we scrub its cracks and crevices with a q tip! I hate it so much! Our dogs try to drink the water that collects at the bottom of the track on it, so we have to keep them out all together!

Fix me! Our two upstairs bathrooms are a mess. Vintage mid-70s, there isn’t a thing in either of them that doesn’t need help. We’re saving up for a major re-do, but the kitchen comes first, so we’re planning to live in the disco-era for a while yet.

FIX ME! We just moved into an apartment that was not well-maintained by the former owners. The night after moving in we discovered that the plastic had bubbled and cracked on the toilet seat in the master bath and that whole colonies of black mold now live in between the plastic coating and the seat itself. Ew. Needless to say, we haven’t used that toilet and getting a new one is the first item of business once we finish unpacking!

Between our house and our next house is a few fine points of “gotta fix this” before the contracts are all complete and we can move into a new place. One of those points: fixing bathroom plumbing! Nothing I’m doing is quite this lovely, but it sure would be nice to wake up in the morning to these shower and bath fixtures.

My bathroom desparately needs new countertops. They are white plastic, and my flat iron discolored it so that it is dark yellow where it was sitting. Also, sitting anything in one place for an extended period of time has yellowed it in those places as well. It’s awful!
