Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

My circa 1979 bathroom is in need of a complete overhaul! Not to mention the fact that the tub faucet went from leaking to pouring so we had to turn off the water to it. Now the whole family is sharing a bathroom until we save our pennies to renovate….since changing out a faucet that old requires punching holes in the tile (darn!)

Funny how the ugly pink and gold bathroom (and I don’t mean the cool retro kind of pink and gold) was the first thing we swore we’d tackle when we bought the house and 10 years later it is one of the few rooms we haven’t touched. So what’s the worst thing? Well, did I mention pink and gold? Boy, this would sure come in handy!

Fix Me! It’s got to be our second bathroom hands down. A lovely formica counter top in sky/baby blue swirled with white, the gross blue sinks, mismatching faucets, 6 towels bars, another gross blue tub and a vanity mirror with sliding shelves all from 1970. Not to mention the blue, gray tiles on the floor which are damaged. Don’t forget the pink window screens!

Oh please do FIX ME!!! When I started updating the master bath I thought I was oh so clever by finding two inexpensive polished nickel vanity faucets on ebay, to match my polished nickel restoration hardware Campaign bath fixtures. Turns out they were Pegasus (from Home Depot) and guess what? The plating job was bad and now one of them has a crack that is gradually getting bigger and bigger. The crack appeared within a year =(. It’s not long for this world! From now on, no more unknown brands, it’s going to be Moen, American Standard, Toto, Delta, and the like, it’s not worth having to replace again and again.

    FIX ME!!!

Seriously, fix me. Our house was built in the fifties (read: pepto pink wall and floor tiles–even in the shower, and a tub that is neither long nor wide enough to sit in indian-style) so the whole bathroom is maddening. We also recently updated the floor tile only to get done and discover channel rot in the pipes. Nothing makes your stomach turn like pulling up a floor, busting through foundation, and digging six feet below the house while surrounded by pepto-pink.

FIX ME! This could not have come at a better time. My bathroom is in desperate need of a showerhead. The current one is no longer grey as it should be instead it has gotten all disclored because of the hard water. The handle fixture has been spitting water on all sorts of places, which will make you believe you’re in a spa using the fancy water masssage fixtures but then reality hits and yeah not so much. It will make my heart and fam happy to update!

Fix me! We are actually hoping to remodel the bathroom in our 1915 bungalow this Fall, so this contest comes at a perfect time! I’d say the thing that’s driving me craziest about it is a faux paint finish from a previous owner in shades of terra cotta and sage green — it’s killing me slowly!

    FIX ME!

Where to start? Our house was converted into apartments then back to a house. Our bathroom was the previous kitchen and they kept the cabinets. My husband hits his head every day and I have to squat down to see the mirror, and I’m only 5’4″. It’s due for a complete renovation once we get some more essential work done, like insulation.

By all means…FIX ME! I cringe at even the thought of entering my bathroom, it’s so outdated and deteriorated. And because of that, having the tub reglazed has jumped ahead of the pack on my “to do” list. How sweet it’d look with Voss fixtures!

FIX ME! Oh my word, our upstairs bathroom needs to get gutted and start over! It is super tiny (almost zero clearance between the commode seat and the bathtub)…and all of the old tiles are cracked and falling down. And to top it off – it’s all BLUE…blue toilet, blue tub, (we had to replace the blue sink already). Awesome give-away to give our sad bathroom a bright start at a new life!
