Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

FIX ME! Had to laugh as I read, “Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning?” Every morning I am faced with no tiles in my shower, just backer board. Lovely look. What started out with trying to replace a leaky shower door turned into a over two month nightmare. Help!

Our bathroom is a sad mix of white and blue tiles, cream toilet and fiberglass shower, hazy shower doors, and scratched brass and chrome hardware. Not cute!

    FIX ME….

Our upstairs half bath needs to be expanded to a full bath before we can gut the downstairs bath in the 88 year old fixer upper we just bought. We need to knock out a wall, retile, and add a shower/tub. Mowen fixtures would be a great addition.

FIX ME! I cannot even begin to tell you the ways my one and only bathroom needs an upgrade! We could start out with that it needs a fan – Yes, it was built without a fan!!! It gets worse, there is a very small space behind the shower that has shelves built in, but they are so far back and narrow, you have to turn sidways to reach them! The vanity/countertop are severely outdated and the walls are covered in wooden boards. Oh my, its a disaster :)

We are trying to compile the funds to remodel it, this would be a VERY good start! :)

Oh my goodness, I NEEEEED to win this! I have two full baths and BOTH are in need of some serious fixin’ up! One tub facet is GONE, one shower handle is broken and everything is still in the icky brass finish that all the houses built in the 80s seemed to have. Yick!

    “FIX ME”

Carpet. Yes, carpet in the the bathroom. It’s an open floorplan into the mater (no door), so they extended the carpet into it. It’s just weird. Someday I hope to add a door…a sliding barn door of course! And get rid of the carpet.

Fix Me!! The worst thing in my bathroom has to be the electrical scheme. Picture this ladies and gents: one outlet which is located in the bottom of the light fixture and only works when the light is on. So while you blow dry you must keep the cord fully pulled lest it fall in the sink directly below it and you get a little more frizz to deal with. And razors must be charged in other rooms (found one on my kitchen counter this morning). Thanks for the amazing giveway!

FIX ME! My husband, kids and I have lived in our house for almost 13 years. We built our home from the ground up, thankfully my father and brother are carpenters. They recommend that a house, especially bathrooms and kitchens, need a face lift every 15 years. We are almost at that point, and winning this contest would be the perfect way to kick off our updates. I’ll send after pictures…I promise!

    FIX ME!

Oh boy, so many things I could say … our bathrooms are just plain grungy! We’re slowly renovating a turn-of-the-century house that hasn’t been cared for since it was a foreclosure in the 80’s. The upstairs bathroom is cobwebby and unusable until we have the time to fix all of the leaking fixtures, so we just use the main floor bath … which isn’t much better :) It has a low-back toilet that was installed at an angle AND almost in the middle of the room, a vanity that’s shorter than standard and made of particle board (and falling apart), and a weird old jetted tub/shower with a cedar surround. Wood + moisture = a terrible idea! There’s also icky 70’s peel and stick tile, and sponge-painted masonite tacked up to the studs instead of drywall. It’s a HOT MESS! Haha! Can’t wait to rip it apart. But one project at a time …. :o)
