Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

Our second bath is such a mess – it has awful beadboard (put up very poorly), weird non-bathroom good wood plank floor and a boring vanity. Definitely in need of a makeover!

    Fix me!

Ugh, my bathroom is really more of a closet. In fact, I think it may have BEEN a closet that was converted into a very awkward little bathroom. (Is THAT all? you say.) The thing that needs to be fixed the most is the terrible layout; the room is only about 6’x7′ and an entire corner of it is almost useless/inaccessible because of how the shower and sink are situated.

Since buying this house it has become evident that the previous owner was a DIY-er who cut a lot of corners and wasn’t really -entirely- sure what she was doing. I bet my favorite power tool that the drywall in there isn’t the right kind and I wouldn’t be surprised if there were issues with the floor and/or plumbing as well. Since it is our only bathroom I’ve been scared to look too closely… most of that work is beyond my expertise and I can’t afford to hire someone. Good times.

My boyfriend and I just bought and moved in to our first house last weekend! I think just about everything in the bathroom could use an update, but first on the list are the leaky faucet and some new paint.

    FIX ME!!!

The foreclosure that is my new home has a 1980s bathroom that would ROCK with these fancy new charms! The thing I like least about it is the previous owners tried to DIY the vanity, but didn’t know how to deal with the fact that there was a baseboard. Rather than cutting the baseboard off so that the vanity would sit flush with the wall, or carving out a little niche for the baseboard at the back and bottom of the vanity, they just stuck the vanity an inch out from the walls – floating. Yikes.

FIX ME!! Our bathroom was a DIY project by the previous owners, so while everything is functional, it all looks very unprofessional! Crooked tiles, off center shower head and bath spout, cheap fixtures and vanity. I can’t wait to change EVERYTHING and this give-away would help get the ball rolling, for sure!

FIX ME! Our entire upstairs bathroom is in desperate need of a redo. It’s been on our list for years, and the custom made cabinets are in our garage, but we’re saving up enough money so we can do it right and replace the pipes from the basement up to the second floor. It’s amazing how much that adds to the bill, and we are not DIYing that! This would be amazing!

    FIX ME!!!

Actually, faucets are my #1 priority in both bathrooms. One is a funky gold that has seen waaaaaay better days (and — gold? wow). The other is plain ugly, and was installed by previous owners so that you have to twist the wrong way to turn on the water. It’s the strangest thing. No one ever taught the previous owners righty-tighty-lefty-loosey, apparently…

Fix me! Our full bath upstairs needs new everything. The walls are covered in some sort of plastic paneling, the vanity is oak with gold fixtures, there is only one outlet (built into the mirror) and there are shelves and dispensers attached in places that make no functional sense. This giveaway would go a long way towards helping our tired, old and ugly bath!

It’s just aweful. My husband and I are planning to gut it this fall. We don’t have a clue what we are going to do after that but we will figure it out. This could give us a nice start.

We have four bathrooms in our new house that will need a total overhaul. The worst bathroom is the master with a broken tub, shower handles with mildew growing inside, a cracked toilet seat and a vanity that barely hits my husband above the knee. It is alike a dirty hobbit bathroom and I cannot wait to get started on it so we don’t have to shower upstairs everyday! Plus, the 90 Degree fixtures are gorgeous. :)
