Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

FIX ME — we have the most hilarious need for an update of our tiles. We have fruit tiles in our bathroom showers (yes 2 showers have this!)…lemons…oranges…yum…in the shower?!
The funny thing is we lived in our condo for about a year before I even noticed – and now it drives me crazy. Updating is on our to-do list!

Our upstairs bath is next on the list; and we are starting next month, the good lord willing and the creek don’t rise.

The worst thing? Besides the water damage to the sheet rock and (possibly) the sub floor (yikes!) I would say:
The “faux” paint job. Seriously: 1995 called and they want their sponges back.

The question is what doesn’t need fixing in our genuine 1985 bathroom? Cracked tile? Check.
Ugly swirly countertop with stains? Check.
    Old and nasty faucets? Check.
Hollywood light fixture in trendy 80s gold with wood trim? Check.
Seriously the whole thing is a disaster.

…although I will have a hard time deciding which bathroom to fix! Our main upstairs one, which I intended to fix up months ago and have paint swatches on the walls to prove it or our basement one so that we won’t have to go upstairs to use one now that we have the living room fixed up. Fix Me! We have a fairly new house, so I don’t have much to complain about in that department. But what has driven me crazy from the get go is that my husband refused to put double sinks in the family bathroom. So we have this big, long counter with one sink and we get to listen to the kids fight over it every night when they brush their teeth. Brilliant.

We’re in the process of buying our first home, and the master bath vanity is a long counter with scalloped seashell style sink. Everything is faded dingy yellow. I can’t wait to get in there and make it something more elegant, because does it ever need a facelift! This package would be perfect for that.
