Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

Our one bathroom is good, BUT the half bath in the basement? Yeah, it could use a sink. Oh, don’t worry — we painted over the bright clown-colored wall paneling (which was also on the ceiling), and we also replaced the toilet roll dispenser that was also functioned as a (big, pink) FM radio. The toilet is still 70’s baby blue, though. Mostly it would be nice not to have to keep hand sanitizer in there for our guests… that would require a sink, though. On the list!

Let’s just say the plumber thought our bathroom was “so cool” since everything is original from the 1930s…. plumbing, fixtures, medicine cabinet, tiles on walls and floor, tub, sink. It does look pretty cool, but nothing works right!

FIX ME! Our bathroom had a little facelift (http://quarteracreadventure.blogspot.com/2011/03/disqualified.html) but it still sports some swanky asbestos tile. And no ventilation fan. Although at least it was a little upgrade from the house’s original bathroom, which was an outhouse! This would be the perfect jump start to a serious makeover!

FIX ME! Our DIY bathroom project is our 1980s bath remodel of a 1960 ranch. It was originally pinkish peach. Plastic tile on the walls. Gross vinyl floors. Green vinyl curtains. We redid it in grey, but after 20+ years with 4 kids, it needs to be redone again for our empty nest!

    Fix me (please)!!

I just moved in with my boyfriend, he owns a condo that hasn’t been updated since what looks like the late 70s (laminate-wood combo kitchen cabinets, laminate bathroom floors, yellowing showers…ouch). He has been stressing himself out about the cost of a bathroom reno and I would just LOVE the chance to decorate his bathroom with this stuff to cheer him up :) Thanks! Love this site!

Our whole bathroom looks original to the house — built in 1965! The little roses on the wall tile, the gold fixtures, and the terrible vanity and mirror…it needs a complete overhaul. We have been saving this for last in our house in part because nice bathroom fixtures are so expensive (taking some time to save up the $$$)! Would love to win!

    FIX ME PLEASE!!!!

My husband and I just bought a house last month, with 2 bathrooms, luckily only one is in dire straights – the other can wait a few years for a DIY reno! The first floor bathroom has tile from the 1980s which is cracking and falling off, desperately in need of replacement, fixtures that are caked in some sort of bluish grime that can’t be removed (despite my efforts with bleach, baking soda and every cleaning product available!), and none of the fixtures match. We would so appreciate new fixtures from Moen. We used Moen at our former condo and absolutely loved our bath, sink and towel fixtures that matched and stood up well to wear and tear! Winning these fixtures would be the perfect first DIY project in our new house! Plus, having something that we don’t have to scrape 20+ years of grime and mildew off of would be an added bonus!

Love your blog and all your projects! Can’t wait for the book :)
