Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

The tub. Our least favorite part of the house when we bought it and it’s still haunting me. Horrible insert with a awful sliding door and hardware that’s barely holding together.

FIX ME! I want to update our shower stall so badly…right now it’s just a plastic surround that is way too small. I’m talking knocking some walls down, adding some tile, and having a shower big enough for …well, actually taking a shower. :-)

    FIX ME:

We have 3 bathrooms in our home and in each there are issues. The master shower no longer works. All three faucets the kids can’t turn on thus we have to help all 3 wash hands all day long, and the shower head in the only working shower is circa 1960 so it’s a bit in need of a change!

FIX ME! Love the Boardwalk style. We have the single handle plastic faucets. They are hard to move and have this mildewy stuff in the middle! Ewwwww. Dying to replace them. Same goes for the shower, too. This would be a welcome replacement for the whole lousy ensemble! :)

Everything in our master is wrong, from lightning (or lack there of), horrible layout (door will hit you pretty much where ever you are), vanity doesn’t match shower or toilet but best part of all is the vanity was too big so they cut the drywall around vanity. I’ve been dreaming of a new bathroom!

The worst part of our bathroom? The sink that is just above my knees and IN our bedroom not the actual bathroom. I’m pretty sure the whole thing is original to the house(1977) but that’s the most aggravating part!

    FIX ME!

Everything in our bathroom needs help! We did replace the 90s-ish light fixture (one of those standard rectangles with the bulbs running across the front), because a previous resident attempted to fix one of the sockets that had broken…by replacing it with an entirely different type of socket. We never did figure out what type of bulb it was supposed to take, but we blew the fuse plenty of times trying! For a few months before fixing it, we just lived with one of the sockets looking sad and empty amongst the rest of the bulbs.
If I had to pick the next most pathetic item that still needs help in our master bath, it would be the entire shower situation. It’s a big walk-in with glass doors, which is nice. But glass is not seamless, and it’s impossible to keep mold and mildew from building up around the corners and in the caulking. We’ve recaulked twice since moving in last year! The shower tile has seen better days, too.
