Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I’m Gettin’ Jiggy! This would not be for me and my dream project, but for my fiance… we just bought our first house and he has the garage of his dreams in his head just waiting to get out!

    I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY!

My husband and I would really love to build our own version of one of the newfangled plasma mounts and cabinets – you know, where there is a cabinet below and a piece extends up and behind that you can mount your TV on? We’ve been drooling over different versions for months now, but I’ve always felt the plans would be too complicated to execute with our limited tools and skills.

    I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY

My dream woodworking project is to put built-ins on either side of our family room fireplace with encolsures for our AV equipment and indirect lights at the top.

Then of course there are the shelves for the garage…

The potting bench for my wife…

All the molding in my house…

    A shed…

I’M GETTIN JIGGY! I’ve built several projects with my Kreg Jig and it’s taking over more and more for older joinery techniques which take more time and don’t produce a stronger joint with well aligned pieces.

Next is a bookcase for my Grandaughter.

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY……… I have this whole plan to build shelves in the apartment I am moving too in a few weeks. See there isn’t much closet space BUT there is this weird triangle cut out thing, that I think custom shelves would totally work (hmm maybe I should start baking now to convince my dad to come over and help).

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY My granddaughter is moving out of the nursery into her own room (new baby coming in Oct) and I am happily helping her decorate and organize all her things so she can put them away and have the room she wants. Shelves and cubby holes would help her pick up and put away all her books, etc.

My dream wood project is to build a house. I know other materials will be included, but I see it happening and have never tried. The Kreg Jig would help assemble the wood more accurately and more sturdy with the self tapping screws.

IS THAT JIGGY ENOUGH FOR YA’?
