Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    I’m gettin’ jiggy!

My husband would LOVE this. He’s in the process of building a really cool media table for our living room, and then he’s moving on to some nursery projects. I’m super jealous of those amazing shelves and might put him on some of those next …

    I’m gettin’ jiggy…

We would love to build shelving to make some unusable closet space in the lower floor of our house useful storage space. We experienced some flooding with the rain in the Northeast these past few weeks and being able to build off-the floor shelving to ensure we don’t lose anything we love to seeping rainwater again would be amazing!

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY WIT IT! I would love to utilize these in a number of projects that I am trying to squeeze out before my wife does the same with our newborn son… Need book case, shelves (just like the ones on this post), changing table, and new bedside table for my wife… Whew, I’ve got a lot of projects to work on and time is already running low…

    Thanks!

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and… I’ve always wanted to build my parents a custom entertainment center with shelfing for their cottage. It’s an oddly shaped wall, and they could really use something custom to fit into the corner and high ceiling space. The extra storage would be a huge bonus as they’d finally have somewhere to store all their DVD’s and CD’s. I’ve always said I’m going to do it. If I win this, I will! No more putting it off!

There’s a wall in my TV room that is begging for a wall of built-ins and a flat screen in the middle… But first, my brother keeps promising he’ll build me a deck… Oh, cocktails on the deck — such a dream!

Great project suggestion. I may make one of these for my daughter’s room but add a quilt bar at the bottom of it to hang her decorative baby quilt. I have a Kreg’s jig and have built 3 projects so far – ottoman, diaper changing station with storage, and a computer stand. My dream project is to build an mud room station with granite seat & room for a pull out basket storage. Many stores sell these for $200 but if I can figure out how to build it (a well documented plan) … I would.

I dream of building more bookshelves. In our den, we have a row of 3 goofy windows that are sort of half the size of normal windows. The other day I was looking at them and it suddenly hit me that built in bookshelves underneath them would look fantastic, provide storage, and draw the eye away from the fact that the windows should really be twice the size they are.

Thanks for this give away chance!
