Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

(commence Will Smith in my head, now…thanks!) :)
Truthfully, I haven’t done any “woodworking” since 8th grade shop….but the possibilities are endless, really.
A bookcase would probably be at the top of my list, but those shelves you rocked out for the Bean’s room are quite impressive…

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY… My husband is pretty handy and we have talked about building a little playhouse for our kids in the backyard. Something neither of us ever had as children but always wanted. Seems like a perfect place for kids to play and imagine!

I’M GETTING JIGGY! I’ve always wanted to make wood furniture, a la Norm Abrams in The New Yankee Workshop, which I’ve been watching since I was a kid living in NYC. I really would like to be able to make a nice wooden shoe rack for all of hubby’s shoes, with wood dowels instead of the metal. This summer, I plan to dedicate a spot in the Garage for all my tools, gadgets and gizmos that ease my DIY life. Good luck to all.

Great contest! I’d love to win this so I can use it in my wood wall art. I made geometric, abstract, and nature related wall hangings. Pocket hole joinery is the ideal way to make my work sturdy and would come in incredibly helpful!

“I’M GETTIN JIGGY”: I have already designed my kitchen remodel and am anxious to get started on this project long overdue. I have already used my Kreg Jig on a couple of smaller projects with great success, however have not yet attempted to tackle a project this large. My latest project, a solar sun screen frame, turned out great! I am so excited about my Kreg Jig and so thankful for this wonderful invention. It has made some otherwise difficult projects so easy to do, and alot of fun as well! I also enjoy reading the posts of other great projects made possible with the Kreg Jig.
