Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    I’m getting JIGGY

My daughter wants a replica of cabinets that I built almost 30 years ago, and are still being used today. When I built them I had to do a lot of doweling and gluing. With the Kreg System, gluing would be dramatically reduced, it would go much faster, with the same or better quality, and my daughter would be happy and content.

    I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY..

I hate the look of the ancient radiators in every room of my condo, but since they’re a necessary evil, I wanted to at least cover them up a bit. A project that I’ve been brewing in my head for a while is to build a mantle around the one in the living room, so that I can hide it and store some knick knacks or books on top. With the weather finally warming up, this just might happen.

We are starting a remodel of the kitchen in our 114 year old home. The first Kreg project was mending a 114 year old counter top that had split along the grain. Pocket screws from underneath pulled it back together.

I’M GETTING JIGGY…..with everything. Our remodel started in the kitchen but has opened a big ole can of ‘What can we do next?’ and the Kreg tools would help my husband and I build built-ins throughout the house, mainly in the living area to match the new floors we are putting in this month. After that, the bathroom shelves & wainscoting and a DIY headboard.
