Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY – I’m planning a “built-in” type bookcase and cabinets on both sides of my fireplace and a free standing TV cabinet. I think the Kreg jig will make both projects move along quickly with great results.

The largest wood working project I have taken on (and am STILL working on) is a total reno of our staircase. Pulling out carpet, installing new treads, and (eventually) new spindles. It’s been a ton of work but every step has been well worth it.

I’m getting JIGGY all over the place. A man cannot have too many Kreg Jigs or Battery powered Drills. My wife said “The Jig’s Up” when she realized my yellow and orange tools were turning “Blue”. I can’t dance a jig, and since I don’t drink, a “jigger of gin” won’t work, so to put it mildly, I’m getting JIGGY.

Oh, please Oh please let it be me! I have several projects from Knock-Off Wood that I want my husband and I to tackle. Not sure which one first, but so far the list includes: Teen Study Loft Bed; 2 Media/Storage Walls, Murphy Bed; Entryway bench and shelf.

I need to be hooked up with some rad Kreg tools from the Craigs.

This is pretty much the COOLEST THING EVER! Even I can build my fantasy list of items with something like this! The list currently includes a kids dining bench, a coffee table, and a new bed for my daughter – but I’m terrified of my total amateur status. This gives me hope.
