Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY

I’ve made a workbench, a saw table for my son’s workshop, a storage unit for wife’s laundry room. I’m looking forward to building one section of a kitchen cabinet as was outlined by Mark Duginski. I’m not skilled enough to have it put in my wife’s kitchen so I may wind up putting it in my shop to hold screws and tools. I’m not into finishing yet.

I’ve been drooling over some dresser plans, and a desk over at KnockOff Wood. This would totally make that so much easier as I don’t currently own tools (except a drill).

Well, my dad is incredibly talented with wood-related projects. I already have shelves (very similar to your very cute nursery shelves) and a really strong glass top coffee table. Which is SO unique and perfect! However, living quite a long way from my father I wish he was here to help with a big cube shelving unit for my home office. I would love to win this for him and I to share, and maybe teach my husband a few things too. :)

My dream wood-related project would be to build a window seat. I’ve wanted one since I was a little girl and I currently live in a house with a bump-out that would house a window seat perfectly… I also love to build just about any project featured on Knock-off Wood.

My dream project is an entertainment center with a built-in TV lift. Something really nice, but where the TV is out of site until you need it (then the impressive lift when you do). I’ve done some woodwork and I’ve read about pocket-hole joinery and think that the technique might get me there!
