Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    I’m Gettin’ Jiggy!

Every since I moved out on my own I’ve loved the sense of empowerment I get when I build or put something together on my own (Girl Power :)! I would love to build a chest/bench to go at the foot of my bed. I keep looking for this piece of furniture I see in my head and have never been able to find it…so I figure I’ll just build my own :)

    I’M GETTIN’JIGGY!

We have a laundry list of furniture that we want from places like Pottery Barn and West Elm… unfortunately we’re on a college budget and have no means for that furniture at this point in our life. Building our own stuff is our next best option but we have no tools :( here’s hoping that we’re the winners!

“I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” I’ve been saving for a 50 in flat screen TV for my rec room and wondered how difficult it would be to have the TV mounted on a wall and custom design shelving and cabinets around it taking in that entire wall. I am only in the dream stages for now and eventually hope to make it a reality.

I want to build a 5 draw chest for my bedroom. I’m an umpire and a referee for high school sports. Right now my dresser draws are stuffed with my regular clothes and sports uniforms. It makes it hard to open up the draws because they are so stuffed. So, I figured if I make a 5 draw chest this will solve my problem.

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY … and plan to build wall-mounted multimedia shelves using old planks that we found in our barn. The storage is needed for all of our 300+ DVDs and 500+ CDs so we can regain the currently lost floor space from the current multimedia shelves that sit there taking up room and looking out of place. :)
