Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

” I’M GETTIN JIGGY ” TO START REMODELING OUR KITCHEN CABINETS FOR MY WIFE. BEING SOMEPLACE BETWEEN AN AMATURE, AND AN INTERMEDIATE WOODWORKER I HAD BEEN RELUCTANT TO START SUCH A PROJECT.BUT AFTER BORROWING A FRIENDS K3 MASTER JIG AND PLAYING AROUND, (IN A SHORT TIME ), I BECAME SO MUCH MORE CONFIDENT, THAT I CAN’T WAIT TO START WITH MY KITCHEN CABINETS,I FOUND THAT IT’S A LOT EASIER THAN I THOUGHT,I’M JUST SORRY I HAD TO RETURN MY FRIENDS K3 JIG,IT’S WORTH THE MODEST INVESTMENT FOR WHAT IT CAN DO.

    I’M GETTIN’ JIIGY!

I am a huge fan of the blog Knock off Wood. I’ve been wanting to try building something for a while. My dream project is to build a dresser for a nursery for the baby I’m expecting in October. However, I imagine I’d have to start with something easier, like bookshelves.

I just moved into a new/old house and there are a ton of projects on my list, including shelves for the utility room, shelves in the closets, and a couple other things until I cut my teeth enough to build a custom wall unti/entertainment center.

    Getting Jiggy With it…
My hubby has talked about wanting to build his own armoir but we haven’t tried to do it yet. We have done other projects but often with the clamp and glue method and some ugly screws so this set would definitely help get the project to the next level.

Love your shelves, we built a little book shelf for our soon to be bambino as well.

Ooo, so much fun! I built a headboard once, and I’ve hacked together some shelves, but I’d love to build something with drawers! Or, I’d like to replace our ugly cardboard cat “castle” with something more attractive, but still affordable, and maybe even a bit more castle-like.
