Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY! I would make that adorable shelf you made for the nursery for our upcoming buddle of joy! As a matter of fact, I saved the picture and texted it to hubby and told him that I had directions too! :)

I was just working on making a base form my Master Pocket hole Jig. It will have a t-rail for the edge stop and enough surface area to clamp the jig to the work bench.

Dream project to complete is to build the cabinets in my study.

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY!! I’d love to have these to start my husband’s tool collection! We just got married and he wants to do all sorts of projects for our house, and in a lot of cases it requires that we purchase tools, since we don’t have much yet! Project #1: shelves for our living room.

I’ve fallen in love with this tool! It’s awesome. My first project was a rather ambitious one………an eight inch tall wine cabinet. 24″ X24″ with room for a wine refrigerator in the bottom, one draw half way up, and four inch tubing glued together in the top compartment to hold 27 bottles of vino. All topped off with crown molding. I also installed a tall draw in the side behind the wine bottles. Awesome. The draws were so tight…….as was the frame of the cabinet. This was a gift I custom designed for my daughter’s new house. I couldn’t be more pleased!

PS – I love, love the bookshelves in the Bean’s room! I might give these a try for a project I am working on in my kitchen.
