GIFT ME! My surprise came from my husband on valentine’s day. At the time we had only been dating a month or so, i had actually gone home to my parents for a vacation. I remember the morning because i was having tea with my mom, when the door bell rang. My mom answered the door, surprised as well. My husband had done some detective work. he’d tracked down my parents address (which by the way is in Canada) and than had managed to find a local bakery. My gift was my very own heart shaped cake that read” be my valentine, eh?”. I’m canadian, and this cake was a huge surprise to myself and my family. We all ate cake for a week.

The most surprising gift was one Valentine’s Day my husband arranged for 4 Dickens Carolers to come to my office and present me with a rose and note that he “thought the world of me” and than break into “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” in front of the whole office. I was at first mortified but after the shock I enjoyed it and was the talk of the office for a long time. Guys!!!

A wonderful surprise gift I received once was on my 1st Mother’s Day. I was pregnant with our 1st child and my dad made an insensitive comment that I was not technically a mother b/c my child wasn’t born yet (whateva!). The best gift I ever received was on my birthday a few years ago. The company my husband worked for had him working out of town all the time and he was hardly home for the first year of our marriage.
