The surprise was that even though we had only be together a few months, he remembered a little tidbit I had mentioned about how I had lost the beloved cross necklace that my godfather had bought me for my first communion. My best surprise that I can remember actually comes from my childhood. My birthday is in February and one year I was really sick with some bug…anyways, my parents surprised me with a new bicycle and had me go out to the garage to get something and it was sitting there—all neon pink and purple splatter painted like the early 90s era it was. It is my most memorable gift because I was so excited but my mom said I looked super bummed because of being sick…I think I responded with a “yay……”*sad face* and crawled back to bed.

When I was working a coworker was pregnant at the same time as me. It was my first pregnancy and her third. The office wanted to throw me a big surprise shower. They made up a story that she had to go on maternity leave early so we were going to have a shower for her. The funny thing I volunteered to make cupcakes. Well, I came home from work last week to a sweet little 3 foot tree perched on a table in front of our window – he surprised me with a sweet little REAL tree!!!
