Fab Freebie: Gifts In Bloom

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won (and check out a special discount!)***

It’s the season of giving, aka: the season of gifting. Which is why this week’s giveaway from GiftTree.com should come in handy. Fresh blooms always make a room feel more festive and inviting, especially around the holidays. And GiftTree has a great selection of florals with some holiday flair:

Gift Tree Xmas Bouqet

And no worries if you’re having trouble deciding whether to send a bouquet to your loved one or just to yourself. The $100 gift card that’s up for grabs means you can actually do both.

Gift Tree Belle Ball

Here are all the dirty deets:

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards anything on GiftTree.com, including flowers (they’re made by local florists & may vary slightly from the pics).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “GIFT ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a time you were surprised by a gift (whether it was a bouquet of flowers or something else). Maybe your guy got you a dozen roses “just because”? Or you came home to a wrapped present on your half birthday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 8th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The fifty United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Not only do we have one winner, but everyone can get 10% off any order on GiftTree.com with code YHL10. Happy gifting everyone!

And our lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Roshni (who gets surprised often by her husband, so she couldn’t pick just one instance as her favorite). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from GiftTree.

    Gift Me!!!

My best bouquet was given to me by my then boyfriend. He surprised me at work with a bouquet of red roses and my favorite drink from Starbucks. Little did I know that later night he was going to propose. It was a day full of surprises!

GIFT ME! I once got identical plants from my sister and my mother who live 3000 miles away and have never before or sense given me plants as gifts. The truly amazing part is they are both still alive after 10 years even with my black thumb.

Best surprise gift was a framed photo collage from my (then) boyfriend (now husband) for Valentine’s Day! He’s not romantic or crafty in general so that was quite a shock to recieve! It still hangs in our bedroom, 4 years later…

    Gift me please! :)

My most recent surprise gift was given on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. My sister in law organized a surprise “mommy shower” for me in which my sister in laws took me out for breakfast. They then showered me with gifts like body butter, a bella band, maternity clothes etc, and then we had a fun day of shopping.

GIFT ME! My husband is great at surprise gifts… he’s a very thoughtful guy. My favorite was probably when he sent a dozen pink roses to me at my office the day after the ultrasound when we found out we were having a baby girl. Not that he needed them, but he scored major points with me for that one! (My coworkers were pretty impressed to)

When I was poor, like art-school, forage-for-couch-change poor, my equally-poor friends all chipped in a couple bucks to buy me a $40 coat (a fortune at the time) that I really, really wanted and thought I could never have. Sigh. I still feel the warmth from that gesture.

“GIFT ME!” For my 21st birthday, my boyfriend {now Handy Hubby} bought me a banjo…a right-handed one. I’m left-handed. Apparently, when I mentioned that before I die, someday I’d like to learn to play the banjo he took it as I wanted a banjo right then. We still laugh about the look on my face when he gave it to me. Priceless!

    GIFT ME!!
How to pick one…my husband loves surprising me! I’ll go back to the beginning (about 10 yrs ago) when we worked together and had just started dating. He closed the store where we worked the night before Easter knowing I was bummed about missing the family dinner because I had to open the store. He hid a bunch of plastic easter eggs all over the place. They were filled with clues to other eggs and cute little inside jokes. I loved every minute of looking for those eggs and still love every minute with him!!

I’d always talked of how I’d never had a surprise bday party. So on my 30th bday, I opened the door to have my friends jump out and surprise me. I was surprised all right. My first thought (after yelling, “NO!”) was that someone had broken in, so I ran right back out, getting tangled in my Happy Birthday banner. Surprise, indeed.
