Fab Freebie: Gifts In Bloom

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won (and check out a special discount!)***

It’s the season of giving, aka: the season of gifting. Which is why this week’s giveaway from GiftTree.com should come in handy. Fresh blooms always make a room feel more festive and inviting, especially around the holidays. And GiftTree has a great selection of florals with some holiday flair:

Gift Tree Xmas Bouqet

And no worries if you’re having trouble deciding whether to send a bouquet to your loved one or just to yourself. The $100 gift card that’s up for grabs means you can actually do both.

Gift Tree Belle Ball

Here are all the dirty deets:

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards anything on GiftTree.com, including flowers (they’re made by local florists & may vary slightly from the pics).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “GIFT ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a time you were surprised by a gift (whether it was a bouquet of flowers or something else). Maybe your guy got you a dozen roses “just because”? Or you came home to a wrapped present on your half birthday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 8th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The fifty United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Not only do we have one winner, but everyone can get 10% off any order on GiftTree.com with code YHL10. Happy gifting everyone!

And our lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Roshni (who gets surprised often by her husband, so she couldn’t pick just one instance as her favorite). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from GiftTree.

Gift Me! My favorite surprise gift was the time my husband had flowers waiting for me at home after I had been away all week. Cheesy perhaps, but they really made me feel loved and missed!

    GIFT ME!
When my husband and I first started dating we were long distance. I would come into town to visit him on Fridays and we’d spend all weekend together…except during the winter when Saturdays mornings – afternoons he was doing one of his absolute favorite things in the world: snowboarding. I encouraged him because I wouldn’t have felt right keeping him away from something he loved so much. One year, for my birthday, he gave me a stack of personalized coupons including a “Keep Me Home From Snowboarding Day” with a cute little subscript “subject to blackout dates”. Three years later it is still in my nightstand unused. =)

Gift Me! My most favorite surprise gift was on our second date my boyfriend (now husband) bought me 2 dozen of the biggest, most vibrant gerber daisies. They were beautiful and it was the greatest most unexpected surprise!

One time I came home from a trip with my family to a great birthday surprise. My in-laws painted my bonus room the red I had been wanting. I honestly had no clue they were doing it and couldn’t believe my husband knew about it and kept it from me.

GIFT ME! The best surprise gift I’ve ever gotten.. is wrapped around me as I type. A few years ago, we were camping over the weekend of our anniversary, and it was due to be cold at night (think low 50’s in mid- August).. so my dh, whom I had an agreement with to not ever do anniversary gifts (we go out to dinner), came out of our tent with the most wonderful, warm, soft, fleece Red Sox stadium blanket. I just love it to death.

    Gift me!

I went away one weekend to visit my best friend over Valentine’s Day – leaving behind my boyfriend (now fiance). He had to study for an exam, so he was ok with it. But on that Saturday the 14th, my friend’s doorbell rang and it was a delivery of flowers for ME! He never gives me flowers, he’s a much more practical gift giver, so it made it even more of a wonderful surprise!

My hubby is pretty good about little surprises. A few weeks into being a new mommy, I was struggling with the adjustment (and a cranky baby) and my husband sent me a bouquet of flowers “from” our daughter saying “thanks for being such a great mom”. *melt*

GIFT ME! I woke up on my 28th birthday to a scavenger hunt to find my gift from my Husband. Every clue I got right (hand written on sticky notes) lead to a little gift, like a starbucks gift card and my favorite candy, hot tamales. My big gift was “In the most unused place in the house”….. our basement shower! Big gift was a beautiful standing floor mirror that also opens up to be a jewelry armoire! Its gorgeous!

gift me! My mom for christmas one year in my twenties gave me a Mrs Beasley doll. I sobbed when I opened it up and was immediately taken back to my childhood sitting on my bed in my Holly Hobby room. I remembered every detail. Everyone in the room couldnt believe my reaction and how long I was “out.” Yes John and Sherry, there is a Santa Clause!

GIFT ME! For 2 years my (then) boyfriend (now husband) lived in Ohio while I was part of a long-term volunteer program serving in Florida. One Christmas he flew down to see me a few days before I flew home for the holidays and TOTALLY surprised me!! My roommate went to pick him up from the airport late at night; I thought she was going out. My other roommate and I were getting ready to watch a movie…there was a knock on my bedroom door and when I opened it (thinking it was my roomie for the movie) he was standing there! I literally did a triple-take. Best Christmas gift ever.

Gift me! I am hard to surprise I almost always catch on but swear it’s not because I want to, I love surprises. The best surprise to date is when my boyfriend had a necklace sent to me for my birthday, he had to be out of town and wanted me to still have a present. I ended up hating the necklace but the thought brought me to tears!
