    GIFT ME!

    Ummm… a few years ago, my hubby surprised me with a DSLR for my bday!! I wasn’t expecting it at all for one thing… but also, we usually don’t spend more than $50 on bdays or Christmas for each other!! So that was a BIG deal!

    One weekend in college when I was able to make it home, my mom surprised me with a gift basket of homemade chocolate covered pretzels and we ate them during our weekend movie-a-thon! So much fun!

    GIFT ME! It may sound silly, but my husband surprised me with an under the cabinet radio for our kitchen. He knows I spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking and cleaning up after our family of 6. It was one of the most best gifts I have ever received, and exactly what I wanted! :)

    Today, actually, I was surprised to see that my husband had my present under the Christmas tree already! All wrapped and a couple weeks early. Even more surprising? We might actually wait until Christmas this year to open the gifts (we usually get too excited and open them much earlier!).

    Gift ME!

    Before we were married, my husband used to leave gifts in my car while I was at work because there was a tricky and secret way of unlocking the door! :) Cd’s, notes, snacks etcetera! It meant so much.

    A few weeks ago I went grocery shopping and came home to Thanksgiving cards made by my 2 & 4 year old (with a little help from my sweet husband). Those hand made art projects are the best gifts! :)

    GIFT ME!!!! When my husband and I had just started dating, I was scheduled to work on my birthday. He send a mutual friend in to work with my favorite kind of cake, and organized a surprise party for me with all of my colleagues. What a guy <3

    The sneakiest gift I was ever given was my engagement ring. My hubby and I were in a hotel room getting ready for a black-tie party that was being held there. I was finished and was watching a football game while he was shaving and showering (and rehearsing his question!). I was pretty sucked in to the game, and I’m not much of a football fan. He had to get me to turn off the TV.

    He was also responsible for the 2nd-sneakiest gift ever: he bought an iPad for us shortly after our 2nd baby was born after I commented (read: drooled) about my brother’s iPad and how perfect it would be to have one for when I was nursing the baby.

    Gift me!! My husband (boyfriend at the time) said he wouldn’t be able to make it to my birthday dinner. During dinner the waitress brought over my present and after I opened it, he walked in and surprised me.

    gift me please! a couple of months after moving i backed into the retaining wall in the our driveway with our fairly new minivan. i felt so awful about it. that evening my husband came home with an enormous beautiful bouquet of flowers. so sweet :)

    Gift Me! My husband and I normally do not do gifts for each other for the holidays, we usually do something big for the both of us. But one year my husband surprised me with a bracelet from Tiffany. I was more than surprised!

    GIFT ME!

    I was kind of wigging out the first week or so after we found out I was pregnant with our first baby. A couple days after taking the test, my husband brought home a beautiful little nosegay of roses – that just happened to perfectly match our living room. :) Cheered me right up!!

    probably the most special gifts are not the biggest, but the sweet little ones that show that someone has been thinking of me—like the time i was ill, and came home to find my roommate had left some cookies on my desk to cheer me up. those things mean a lot :)
