This was actually a suprise gift that I did for my mom. She was really bummed that my brother and sister-in-law wasn’t able to come home for Christmas one year. So my other brother and I bought them plane tickets, and kept it a secret from my mom. The look on my mom’s face when they walked in Christmas morning was priceless! I will never forget that moment.

Probably the best gift I’ve recieved was on Valentine’s Day. My boyfriend had all the flowers, candy, etc.. and as soon as I walked in the door he started singing a song he had written for me. It was awesome!

Sadly, I’ve not been surprised with any gifts lately. But my favorite surprises were the little toys my mom would leave me before she’d leave to work. We were latch-key kids so it was nice coming home after school to little surprises like that. : )

My favorite surprise gift was a few years ago for Valentine’s Day. My boyfriend had hidden a jewelry box (it was for a pearl necklace) in the center console of my car. We drove to dinner listening to a CD I knew he didn’t like, so I reached in the console to grab another one. He suddenly closed the console, and said the CD was fine. I got mad, but then he pulled out the jewelry box and I was beyond surprised!

I think the most memorable (and probably the silliest) would be just after I started dating my now-fiance. I mentioned that the brownie batter ice cream on TV looked AMAZING. He said he had to run home, and rode his bike 3 miles to the ice cream shop to get me and ALL SIX of my younger siblings an ice cream. I still don’t understand how he managed to balance it all the way home. :-)
