If clothes make the man, you might say that hardware makes the kitchen. So it’s pretty sweet that Liberty Hardware is hooking one of you up with the chance to give your whole kitchen (or bathroom, for that matter) a major facelift thanks to $400 (yep, four-zero-zero) worth of knobs, pulls, switch plates, hooks, or anything else from their stylin’ catalog. So this could be your shot to make your kitchen more modern with sleek stainless steel pulls or to turn up the traditional vibe with some classic oil-rubbed bronze knobs (or something else entirely- they have lots to choose from).

    Greetings from Arizona!

    We just purchased a home. The kitchen has been beautifully updated with new cabinets and travertine countertops. The budget must have run short, however, when it came to the hardware. The lovely cabinets are adorned with cheap, white door and drawer pulls. Not totally hideous but certainly not what I would have chosen to compliment the wood finish and style of the kitchen. There are a lot of cabinets. Hence, there is a lot of hardware to be replaced. Our moving budget does not extend to new pulls and handles at this time. A $400 facelift from Liberty Hardware would be really, really helpful in enhancing the kitchen sooner versus much, much later.

    Bonus question: The various traditional birdcage designs are appealing — ornate without being too fussy. I’m not sure about the finish but am leaning toward a bronze with copper highlights. But then again, pewter may contrast better against the dark wood of the cabinets and not blend in so much. I would have to do some more research on what would look best. At this point, however, I can state firmly that cheap, plain, white pulls are NOT the decorating answer! :-)

    Give Me Liberty!!!!! We just bought our first fixer upper and it has beautiful 80’s brass everywhere. I love the look of brushed nickel and a much more modern look so anything would be an improvement.

    GIVE ME LIBERTY! I love the brushed nickel and the oil rubbed bronze depending on other decor in the room. However, I’ve embraced the gold and glass doorknobs that came with our home, and I’m so glad I did!

    Give me Liberty!

    It’s a toss up! I’m always loyal to my brushed nickel! It’s just classic, but I’m loving the oil rubbed bronze too! It makes me think of that old world look. We redid our kitchen and cabinet pulls are the only thing left to do. I’m leaning towards the bronze because I think it fits the style of our cabinets more. Love them both!!

    Since I’m a sucker for vintage home decor, I love the good ol’ polished chrome finish. It reminds me of yesteryear and feels like gorgeous jewelry for my kitchen/bath!

    Right now I just adore the antique glass knobs on all the doors of my early 40’s cottage. But as far as kitchen/bath pulls and such I just love clean, bright but not too bright look of brushed nickel.

    Give me liberty or give me brushed nickel! We had such a difficult time finding knobs we loved. We’d pick up one or two we went to the hardware store. Eventually we ended up with a different knob on EVERY door/drawer in our kitchen. While it was fun for a while, I’d LOVE to have some new matching knobs for our adult kitchen! :)
