Random.org has surprised us this week and selected a male winner for the first time in foreverrrrrrr (shocking, we know). His name is… Thomas (and he’s looking forward to time off this holiday season). Congrats dude! (Congrats buddy? Congrats fella? I dunno, I’m so used to saying “Congrats ladies” I’m kinda at a loss).

One of our favorite things to give are custom house portraits (we’ve actually purchased two for my parents in the last year – and even bought one for ourselves). So as we enter the giving-est time of the year, we figured it would be fitting to give one of you the gift of a house portrait too. We recently discovered Rebekka Seale’s too-charming-for-words illustrations (Sherry’s ridiculously smitten), so wrangling her for a giveaway was at the top of our holiday to-do list. Happily, Rebekka was game. So she’s here to offer up a gift certificate for a custom house portrait along with the winner’s choice of any art print from her Etsy shop. Feel free to keep them for yourself, or wrap ’em up and put them under the tree for someone else. Note: Rebekka’s all full on house portrait orders until after Christmas, which is why she’s doling out a gift card for one, which can be redeemed after the holidays.

    I love spending time with family over the holidays. My family and my husband’s family are both from Virginia, but our siblings live pretty far away. They all come this way for Christmas, though, and it is so fun for my kids to play with cousins, see aunts & uncles, and have so much concentrated family time.

    SEALE ME! Man, those house pics are adorable!
    I am looking forward to giving my kiddos their Santa gifts-a train set and doll carriage especially :) With a 3 year old, 2 year old and 10 month old- I am lucky to have little ones who look forward to and believe in the Christmas spirit! I cannot wait to see their reaction to Christmas morning!

    My cute husband came up w the idea to buy Christmas for someone else this year, so we are going to find a family in need in our area and spend the money we would normally use toward each other to buy them presents and such. We’re so excited!

    Well I was most looking forward to the fact that I had convinced my Dad to buy my mom an Ipad which she was completely dying for. BUT my brother (who lives in the other house on my parents property) intercepted the FedEx guy and came running into my parents house asking my Dad in front of my mom if he really bought an Ipad. Needless to say it was gifted early and a lot of the “fun” was taken out of it b/c we love surprising my mom with stuff like that. So now I am looking forward to giving everyone my homemade vanilla. Its nice and dark and smells great!

    I managed to get my husband something he has been wanting but didn’t put on his christmas list. So it will be the best kind of surprise. We also like buying local, handcrafted things and this present fits that bill too!
