Fab Freebie: Homes On Homepage

*** This giveaway is now closed. See who won below! ***

An early Christmas present (in the form of this $500 Visa gift card) has randomly chosen to come to the hands of… Mary (whose dream house would be a “big cozy log cabin out in the woods” complete with fishing pond, swimming pool, hot tub, huge whirlpool tub in her bathroom and a giant walk in closet. Her fantasy list doesn’t end there, so check out her comment for the rest). Congrats Mary!

With a URL as broad as Homes.com, there are a lot of topics you might think they cover. Because people buy homes. They decorate homes. They do home improvements. You get the idea. Well, Homes.com does cover all of those things – from all stages of the home buying process to decor and DIY. We especially enjoyed their home values and city profiles (because we’re nerds for stuff like that). But what you’ll probably enjoy the most is the chance to win a $500 Visa gift card from Homes.com this week. Yup, five hundred dolla dolla bills (in plastic form) to spend wherever you’d like for whatever stage of home ownership you’re currently enjoying. Oh yeah, and they’re also giving away a signed copy of our book over on their blog.

Homes Dot Com Giveaway

  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HOMES ME!” and tell us…

  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Dec 5th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond the US (more on that here). This giveaway is open to The United States & Canada.

    Homes me!

I would look for a better neighborhood (not that ours is terrible, but it could definitely be better) and two full baths instead of just one.

We’ve been in our house for a year today (!), but next time around, I’d like to have a spare bedroom.

Right now: another bedroom (or two!) and a nicer neighborhood. Our house is currently on the market, and we are really hoping to move before our baby arrives in March…but who knows if that will happen :)

We actually just bought a house and one of the biggest requirements when house hunting was more living space! Our last house felt squished with just one other couple visiting, but in this new house we have space to throw parties and invite both sides of our family over at once!

The $$ will be put to good use decorating all that new space ;)

HOMES ME! A new place would be closer to work, still close to shopping, but not much larger than what I have now and not expensive on HOA fees (I’m a condo girl). Just one problem: Such a condo complex doesn’t exist in that neck of the woods.

HOMES ME! We just bought a home three years ago (almost to the day!) and so far, we have everything we need and want! I know, crazy lucky! Funny story actually: the house we almost bought actually fell through (after we found out the roof was about to fall through), and we went out in search of another future home. We found our house and just knew it was perfect – and put in an offer the very same day! We love it, and our dog loves it too! :)

We bought this last March and am loving that we have a home with a great layout that works for us. This is home that needs much more that a little TLC but rather every cosmetic aspect needs updating. But the great layout is allowing us to take it room by room while still living comfortable enough in the rest of the house without needing to remove walls, move plumbing, etc….

A great layout is a must in any dream home of mine!
