Fab Freebie: Homes On Homepage

*** This giveaway is now closed. See who won below! ***

An early Christmas present (in the form of this $500 Visa gift card) has randomly chosen to come to the hands of… Mary (whose dream house would be a “big cozy log cabin out in the woods” complete with fishing pond, swimming pool, hot tub, huge whirlpool tub in her bathroom and a giant walk in closet. Her fantasy list doesn’t end there, so check out her comment for the rest). Congrats Mary!

With a URL as broad as Homes.com, there are a lot of topics you might think they cover. Because people buy homes. They decorate homes. They do home improvements. You get the idea. Well, Homes.com does cover all of those things – from all stages of the home buying process to decor and DIY. We especially enjoyed their home values and city profiles (because we’re nerds for stuff like that). But what you’ll probably enjoy the most is the chance to win a $500 Visa gift card from Homes.com this week. Yup, five hundred dolla dolla bills (in plastic form) to spend wherever you’d like for whatever stage of home ownership you’re currently enjoying. Oh yeah, and they’re also giving away a signed copy of our book over on their blog.

HOMES ME! While a helipad sounds nice, I’d just want a big kitchen with a space to eat in! And a big laundry room :-)

I would want a little more room. Not a gigantic house because that means more to clean, but just a little more breathing room!

HOMES ME PRETTY PLEASE WITH CHERRIES!!!

I love our 1940’s home, it is so cute with lots of charm and character. With that said, our next home would have at least 2 bathrooms. Right now our bathroom is so outdated and teeny tiny. My husband and I have to leave at the same time so getting ready in the morning is truly a test sometimes.

    Thanks YHL!

We just moved in to our first house this summer, and I’m still in love. However, after a lot of unexpected work in the basement, in our next house we’ll definitely be taking a closer look in every nook and cranny!

We just bought a new home so I don’t have any things about my current house that irk me and I’d want to change. However, my general home must-haves are a modern, open floor plan, a big backyards backing to woods and lots of windows!

    HOMES ME! Please!
I actually DID just buy a new home!! (Move in in 20 days!). The criteria…I saw the house EXACTLY two years before our closing date and fell in love with it. I was actually the crazy lady that knocked on the door blabbing about how beautiful their house was and asking if they would want to sell it. I started saving for the house, and two years later I was signing on the dotted line having my dreams come true!!! :)

Just general safety/health. I know that is weird, but twice now we have lived in homes that have had an adverse impact of the health of our children. And both times we have been straight up lied to by the people who own the houses. It is sad to see how deceitful people actually are.
