PICTURE ME! My current favorite photo of myself is one I just stumbled upon going through my sister’s wedding album. Her photographer caught me trying to take pictures with one hand and using my cell phone on the other (to call my cousin asking for more camera batters back in 2005). It is a hilarious picture!

For me, it’s a candid picture taken by a friend at a boat party a couple of years before my husband and I got married. After a long day of playing in the sun on the boat, there’s a picture of us slow dancing and just looking really in love. I think seeing that picture helped me realize that he really DID love me as much as I loved him even if we were only 22 or so, and helped me take that leap to move to another city with him and start a life together about 6 months later. =)

Right now We’re digging our final Wedding shot of the night. It was storming throughout our whole wedding day but with a half hour to spare the clouds clear and gave us a 4 hour window to have our ceremony and reception.
As we were wrapping up, we scooted of to a nearby field where we could see the major storm clouds rolling in on our left and the sunset on our right. It’s a great reminder for us that even if as the storms will roll in our marriage the sunshine won’t be too far away!

My favorite picture of myself was snapped with an iPhone just a few weeks ago! We were out rummaging, yard sale-ing, and flea marketing. One of the vendors created an old fashioned lemonade stand from reclaimed wood and wrote “Design Advice 5 cents” on the sign. I loooooove design, blogging, and DIY-ing (hence the love of your site), so I stood behind it and snapped the shot. Perfect!

My favorite photo of myself is from my junior year in high school. A friend needed a subject for his photography final and I had forgotten I agreed to do it. I came to school in t-shirt and jeans, no makeup and my hair naturally wavy. I thought I looked horrible but the way he posed me and the filter he used made it look like the sun was setting. It’s the only photo of myself I’ve ever liked. All of my family have a copy of it because they love it as much as I do. Nedless to say, he got an A+
