PICTURE ME…in a field of wildflowers with my 5 month old daughter on Mother’s Day. All i had wanted for the day was to get a great pic with her. We had tried and tried, but nature (wind!) and just being a 5 month old intervened. We were on our way home from visiting my mother-in-law and we made a snap decision to pull off the side of the road when we saw a field of yellow wildflowers. She was mesmerized by the flowers and I was mesmerized by her. My wonderful husband snapped a few quick pics and I had my perfect Mother’s Day present. :-)

It’s a picture of me in my favorite Halloween costume from a few years back–I was a super hero named Boom Boom Apricot i based on one of the beers we had on tap at the micro brewery I work for. I had a hot pink wig, dangly apricot earrings I made from plastic powder candy fruit containers I found at Party City, white go go boots, a sparkly pink and orange cape, and a white go go dress with BOOM! Emblem across the front with fuzzy apricot buttons on the skirt and orange and pink confetti trim around the hem. I was so proud of my craftsmanship and my smile was so big (and my fake lashes soooo long)
